L A I A S O L É

I'm interested in the experience space: how spatiality is lived, felt, thought, and how it could be otherwise.

I use drawing, performance, video & photography, sound & text as ways to inquire, reflect and/or act upon whatever from a space comes towards me: the physical, social, economic, and historic dimensions of space.

I've vanished walls in constructions sites and in galleries through video-related technology, explored change and informal economies in public spaces through drawing, transformed the experience of time and space being through sound, seized social spaces through performance and play, and battled with papers’ surfaces to unfold new ideas about spatiality.

Since 2014 I re-engaged with matter through drawing and printmaking processes to explore spatiality, and drawing upon old imageries of mine, such as excavators, dirt and debris to address change, destruction and invention.
